Missing Bucks Co. Man Found Dead At Washington Xing Park

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A former public official in Bucks County who had been missing for a week was found dead Thursday at Washington Crossing Park, police said.

David Nay, a 55-year-old Morrisville Borough resident and former councilman, was last seen leaving his home on April 29. Nay was found dead at the park after a two-day search, authorities said.

Solebury Township Police Department said they received a tip Wednesday that the white truck belonging to Nay was located at Washington Crossing Park on River Road.

Officers arrived and found the truck unoccupied. State and local officials conducted an "extensive" search of the park, Delaware canal and river, Solebury police said.

The search continued Thursday.

Around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, a search crew from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and Bucks County Park Rangers located Nay deceased in an area of the park in Solebury Township.

Solebury Township Police conducted an investigation into the death with assistance from the Bucks County Coroners Office. The cause of death was not released Thursday night.

"There is no concern or threat to the area or community and the immediate family of the victim has been notified by Morrisville Borough Police," Solebury police said.
