Pennsbury Opens Voting For 'Staff Member Of The Year'

The school district is holding a vote for the most outstanding staff members, who will be publicly recognized for their work in education.

FALLSINGTON, PA — The Pennsbury School District is holding a vote for their 'Staff Member of the Year', who will be publicly recognized for their work and contribution to the school district.

In a letter to the Pennsbury community, Thomas A. Smith, Superintendent of Schools, wrote about how the district wants to recognize the best staff members that they have to offer for students, parents, and fellow staff members.

"The Pennsbury School District is filled with outstanding teachers, certified staff members, and support staff who work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of our students," the letter said. "Never has this been more evident than during the last two years, and their efforts deserve to be recognized."

The letter, which was originally published in mid-November, gives links and instructions for how community members can vote on which staff member they think was the most outstanding this year in the face of restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic and for making a difference in the education of Pennsbury students. Voters can choose a teacher, certified staff member, or support professional they think made the biggest impact this year.

"We are starting a new tradition in Pennsbury to honor those individuals who have been particularly dedicated or inspiring to their students," the letter continued.
