Pennsbury Surveys Community On Schools Reopening

FALLSINGTON, PA — Pennsbury School District is asking community members to fill out a survey about reopening schools in the fall.

The survey, which is published on Pennsbury's website and was sent to parents by email, will remain open until July 5. It says that the district "is actively planning various options for educating students when schools reopen in the fall."

Pennsbury closed all schools on March 13 to combat the spread of the coronavirus. The closure would end up lasting the rest of the school year as Pennsbury, like other districts, shifted to at-home lessons.

Currently, two teams are working to develop a health and safety plan for the district, as well as a "Continuity of Education" plan. Both will require approval by Pennsbury's school board, which meets virtually on July 16.

The survey asks for preferences on in-class school versus learning at home, options for school bus riding and levels of support and concern about specific proposals for the fall.
