Registration Now Open For Lower Makefield Pool

After closing all of 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the pool on Edgewood Avenue is set to reopen this year.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Pool will open its doors again in 2021.

Registration is now open for the township-run pool's 2021 season. The aquatic center on Edgewood Road never opened in 2020, with its entire season scrapped due to coronavirus concerns.

The pool's administrative office is now located at the Lower Makefield community center, at 1550 Oxford Valley Rd. Paperwork can be dropped off in the drop box located next to the front doors. Online registration also is available.

In a survey this winter by Lower Makefield's parks and recreation department, 77 percent of the 846 respondents, almost all of them pool members, said they would like the pool to open this year.

The aquatic center includes four heated pools, one Olympic pool, one lap pool, one intermediate pool and a tot pool. There are diving boards, dual, 18-foot slides, a snack bar, restrooms and changing rooms with a shower and shade pavilions.
