Trenton-Morrisville Toll Bridge Ramp Closing Until Thanksgiving
The DRJTBC said the work begins Tuesday on the Route 29 South ramp for Route 1 South on the bridge.

MORRISVILLE, PA —The elevated ramp that carries traffic from Route 29 south to Route 1 south and the Trenton-Morrisville Toll Bridge’s Pennsylvania-bound travel lanes is scheduled to be shut down for repairs during daytime hours on weekdays starting Tuesday.
The elevated ramp crosses over both directions of Route 29 north of Route 1 along the Delaware River waterfront in Trenton, N.J.
The work is expected to last just before Thanksgiving, officials said.

When in effect, the ramp closures will begin at 6 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. each weekday.
The travel restriction will enable a Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission contractor to make extensive repairs to the elevated ramp’s concrete road surface.

Drivers are advised to follow the designated detour route that will be implemented to direct affected vehicles to Route 1 south and the Trenton-Morrisville Toll Bridge for travel into Pennsylvania.
The scheduled weekday ramp closures are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, and other factors. Drivers are advised to reduce speeds and exercise caution whenever highway construction travel restrictions are in effect.
About the Commission
The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission was formed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey in 1934 and its federal Compact was first approved by Congress in August 1935.
The agency operates eight toll bridges and 12 toll-supported bridges, two of which are pedestrian-only spans. The Commission is a self-supporting public-service agency that receives neither federal nor state tax dollars to finance its projects or operations. Funding for the operations, maintenance, and upkeep of its bridges and related transportation facilities is solely derived from revenues collected at its toll bridges.
The Commission's jurisdiction extends along the Delaware River from the Philadelphia-Bucks County line north to the New Jersey/New York border. The bridges carried more than 131.5 million cars and trucks in 2023. For more information, please go to: www.drjtbc.org.
