Verrelli's Yardley Pizza To Become Eliyahu's

The new owners of the restaurant on Main Street have the current owner's blessing and will keep serving pizza to hungry Yardley residents.

YARDLEY, PA — The owners of Verrelli's Yardley Pizza have sold the popular Main Street eatery in Yardley. But the new owners say they hope to continue the location's tradition of great pizza.

"This decision comes with tears of sadness and happiness," owner Jim Verrelli wrote in a social media post Monday. "I would love to thank each and every one of you for making my nine years a great experience that I will never forget."

Verrelli said he is "passing the torch to a wonderful husband and wife team that are filled with excitement and joy to take command and bring Yardley Pizza to the next level."

That team, Eliyahu and Keira Kheel, plans to call the restaurant Eliyahu's Yardley Pizza. In their own post, Eliyahu Kheel wrote that they plan to shut the restaurant down for a few weeks to remodel.

"This pizzeria has a wonderful history and I'm so excited to put my stamp on it to take it to the next level," Kheel wrote.

Verrelli said the official transition is expected on or around Monday, April 19. He urged customers with gift certificates to use them before then and called running the restaurant the most memorable chapter in his life.

"I am asking that you give them the same love that you gave me throughout the years," he wrote.

Yardley Pizza is located at 20 S. Main St. in Yardley.
