Water Pipe Replacement Conducted On Makefield Road

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania American Water is replacing 2,100 feet of aging 6-inch pipe installed in the 1950s with new 8-inch ductile iron pipe.

The work is along with new copper water supply services for our customers, in coordination with a road resurfacing project to be completed by Lower Makefield Township.

Pennsylvania American Water's main area of focus for this project will be Makefield Road, from Edgewood Road to Sutphin Road.

Weather permitting, contractor Caddick Inc. is doing the work this week.

Final mill/overlay to be completed by Lower Makefield Township contractor over the summer.

The work is from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Work on weekends, evenings, and holidays is not expected unless required to maintain project schedule.
