Yardley Man Faces Felony Charges In Bucks Co. Home Invasion

The Lower Makefield man chased a family out of their home while wielding a large kitchen knife, according to police.

PERKASIE, PA — A scary scene unfolded Tuesday night when a man wielding a large kitchen knife entered through the back door of a family's home in Perkasie Borough.

James Jisung Park, 52, of Yardley, faces felony charges of robbery, burglary and aggravated assault along with misdemeanor charges of simple assault, theft, and reckless endangerment in connection with incident.

At around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Park got inside their house on the 300 block of South Third Street and chased the family outside while carrying a kitchen knife, according to police.

Responding police officers were able to locate Park, who appeared to have suffered from self-inflicted stab wounds. He was taken to an area hospital where he was treated and released to Perkasie police, authorities said.

Park was arraigned before District Judge Regina Armitage of New Britain District Court and taken to Bucks County Jail on $750,000 cash bail.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 23.
