2 Rhode Island Halloween Costume Stores Make List Of Best In The Nation

An extensive survey of shoppers to determine the top Halloween costume stores in America revealed that two of the best are right here in Rhode Island.

Car title company Montana Capital conducted the study and established that Emerald City Theatrical Costumes outside Providence and Fountain Street Creative were among the nation's elite.

Emerald City Theatrical placed 21st and Fountain Street Creative came in 84th.

Montana Capital surveyed more than 3,000 shoppers to rank America's Halloween contest stores, according to a media release.

"This study surveyed 3,001 U.S. respondents to uncover which independent costume and party shops Americans most enjoy visiting for their Halloween supplies," the release said. "The nationwide sample represented a balanced mix of ages, genders, and regions, ensuring that both small-town favorites and urban hotspots were fairly represented."

The top store in the entire country? That would be American Costumes in Las Vegas.

Fantasy Costumes in Chicago and Abracadabra NYC in New York finished second and third.
