BJ's Opens New 'Innovative' Grocery Market In Rhode Island

The store has a tasting bar for sampling new products and an express pay option to avoid checkout lines.

WARWICK, RI — BJ's Wholesale Club opened a new concept club grocery market where Toys R Us used to be in Warwick.

BJ's Market, which is about 30 percent smaller than a full-sized BJ's warehouse, opened to club members Friday at 375 East Ave. The market features fresh foods, produce, as well as sundried and seasonal products.

The market will also test new products for BJ's, as well as certain customer service enhancements. Enhancements include a tasting bar for sampling new products and an express pay option to avoid checkout lines.
