'The Conjuring' Home Sells For $1.5 Million
The house sold under the condition that the new Boston-based homeowner isn't allowed to live in the Rhode Island home year-round.

RHODE ISLAND — The Rhode Island-based house featured in "The Conjuring" has been sold for the second time in under five years.
And for about four times as much.
Listed at 1677 Round Top Road in Burrillville, the home is known for what some former and current investors say is paranormal activity.

The previous owner, Cory Heinzen, bought the house and property for more than $400,000 and has been using it to rent out to fans. He ended up selling it to Boston contractor Jacqueline Nuñez for $1.5 million.
The Heinzen family and Nuñez announced the sale Thursday afternoon on Facebook Live, in the "seance room," which was a pivotal background where Ed and Lorraine Warren were called in to drive away the spirits in 1973.

The 2013 horror movie follows the Warrens as they work to rid the home of spirits that have haunted the house for years.
According to the Facebook live post, Nuñez agreed to continue the haunted business that the Heinzens started. The Heinzens will remain involved, guests will still be able to stay at the home, day tours will continue, and live stream events will still be going on.
The only condition the Heinzens set for the new owner was that she could not live in the house year-round.
