Connecticut Couple Caught Conspiring, Intending To Deliver Heroin: Cops

The Connecticut couple was arrested during a traffic stop, police said.

WEST GREENWICH, RI — A Connecticut caught was caught conspiring and intending to deliver heroin, police said.

Sayyid Al-Bilali, 48, and Caralynn Turner, 45, were arrested shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 in West Greenwich, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Al-Bilali and Turner, both residents of Norwich, were charged with manufacturing, delivering or possessing with the intent to deliver heroin and conspiracy, according to the release.

Al-Bilali and Turner were taken to the Hope Valley Barracks, where they were processed, the release said.

Al-Bilali was then transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men's Intake Center and Turner to the ACI Women's Intake Center, according to the release.

They were held overnight and for Thursday morning arraigments, the release said.
