East Providence Restaurateur Running For Governor: WPRI
Gov. Dan McKee is up for reelection next year.

An East Providence restaurateur filed to run for governor in 2026, WPRI has reported.
Gregory Stevens, "who owns Pat’s Italian Restaurants, filed paperwork with the R.I. Board of Elections Wednesday morning," the outlet said. "He is the third Democrat to throw a hat into the ring, along with incumbent Gov. Dan McKee and former CVS executive Helena Foulkes."
On his website, Stevens lists seniors and health care, school and gun safety, public safety, immigration done right, politics without politics, and diversity and inclusion as "what matters to us."
