Elusive Great White Shark Captured On Video Off Rhode Island For First Time: ASI
A remote underwater system captured the video, according to the Atlantic Shark Institute.
A great white shark was caught on video swimming off Rhode Island for the first time, according to the Atlantic Shark Institute.
"We are really excited to share a first for Rhode Island and a first for the ASI’s Baited Remote Underwater Video System (BRUVs) research," the institute said in a Facebook post accompanying the video.
The shark was captured on video as it swam off Block Island, the post said.

"These small white sharks can be elusive and, with a very small population compared to many other shark species in the Northwest Atlantic," the post said, "they aren’t easy to find or see in their natural environment!"
