Holiday Lights Spectacular Returns to Roger Williams Park Zoo

PROVIDENCE, RI — Holiday Lights Spectacular is returning to Roger Williams Park Zoo.

"Bundle up and stroll, sip, and saunter your way through glowing pathways and whimsical displays that bring the holidays to life," the zoo invited in a media release. "From playful penguins to shimmering snowflakes, the magic of the season is on display at New England’s favorite winter tradition."

The event, presented by Rhode Island Energy, runs nightly — except for Christmas Eve and Christmas — from Nov. 28 through Jan. 4 from 5-9:30 p.m.

New this year are Discount Tuesdays, when guests get $5, as well as Meet & Greets with Frozen Favorites on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Visit with Santa on Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Nightly Storytime with Roger the Red Panda at 6 p.m., 7 p .m. and 8 p.m.

Tickets for Holiday Lights Spectacular must be purchased online in advance.

"Proceeds from the Holiday Lights Spectacular support the Zoo’s ongoing animal care, education programs and conservation initiatives," the release said.
