Intoxicated Driver Crashed Tesla Coffeeshop: South Kingstown Cops

The North Kingstown man crashed into the coffeeshop early Tuesday morning, police said.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A intoxicated North Kingstown man crashed his 2025 Tesla into a coffeeshop early Tuesday, police said.

Mark DeLong, 30, was arrested the wreck on suspicion of driving under the influence of liquor and or drugs, the South Kingstown Police Department said in a media release.

DeLong drove his Tesla iun TLC Coffee Roasters, according to the release.

“Driving under the influence of alcohol or cannabis is never acceptable,” Police Chief Matthew C.
Moynihan said in the release.

“There is no excuse for impaired driving — use a rideshare, call a friend, or stay put," Moynihan said. "Choosing to drive impaired is reckless, and the extensive damage to this small business is a direct result of that poor decision.”

DeLong was held overnight and arraigned Wednesday morning in Washington District Court, according to the release.
