'Overdose Spike Alert' In Rhode Island: Health Department

The Rhode Island Department of Health issued an overdose spike alert.

The alert was for increased drug overdose activity from Sept. 4 through Wednesday in East Greenwich, Exeter, Hopkinton, Richmond, and West Greenwich.

"These alerts are issued when a Rhode Island municipality or region has more non-fatal overdoses than usual in a week," the department of health posted on Facebook.
