The former Laker Girl and American Idol judge posed for a picture with members of the staff at Harry's Restaurant on Route 9 in Westborough, the outlet reported.

"Abdul was in the region to attend the funeral of a friend, Frank Caprio, a noted judge in Providence," MetroWest Daily News said. "He is known for the reality television show 'Caught in Providence' He died after a battle with cancer. His funeral was Aug. 28. Abdul was in attendance."

Considered the "nicest judge in the world," according to his website, Caprio was known "for his fairness, compassion, and dedication to justice."
