Providence Fugitive Wanted In Ohio Nabbed: Cops

The Providence man was wanted in Ohio on a charge of violating his parole for aggravated robbery and felony assault, police said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence fugitive wanted in Ohio was captured Monday, police said.

Sadiq Mohamed, 30, was wanted on a charge of violating his parole for aggravated robbery and felony assault, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Mohamed was arrested during a traffic stop shortly before 1 p.m. on Eddy Street, in the City of Providence, according to the release.

"Mohamed was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held overnight pending arraignment," the release said.
