Rhode Island 3rd Least Fun State In US, New Study Says

Rhode Island may not be the last place in America to have a good time, but a new study says it's the third to last

Personal finance site WalletHub ranked Rhode Island No. 48 in its list of the most and least fun states in America.

WalletHub used 26 indicators to determine which states were the most fun, ranking everything from most restaurants and movie theaters per capita to access to national parks and the arts.

The most fun state was deemed California due to its large number of restaurants, amusement parks, movie theaters, and fitness centers.

Rhode Island finished dead last in movie theaters per capita, the study found, and was the second worst for state and local expenditures on parks and recreation per capita, beating out only Maine.

The only two states worse than Rhode Island when it comes to fun are Mississippi and West Virginia, according to WalletHub.
