Unhealthy levels of ozone are expected across the state Tuesday, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management warned.
DEM forecasts that air quality will reach unhealthy levels for sensitive groups due to elevated ground-level ozone.
Unhealthy ozone levels are expected to start in the early afternoon, continuing well into the evening. Fine particles are also expected to be elevated, according to DEM.
