Rhode Island International Airport Makes Conde Nast Top 10

WARWICK, RI — Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport is the ninth best airport in the entire United States, according to Conde Nast Traveler.

The Warwick airport actually tied for ninth with Salt Lake City International Airport. T.F. Green International — and Salt Lake City International — finished ahead of Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and behind Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

The top airport in America on the Conde Nast Traveler list is Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.

Conde Nast Traveler called T.F. Green International a "great little airport."

"Rhode Island’s T.F. Green Airport gets kudos from fliers as a 'great little airport' that’s easy to reach and to navigate: More than two-thirds of New England’s population lives within a 75-minute drive of the Providence airfield," the Conde Nast Traveler review said.

"Long favored by budget carriers as a less expensive alternative to Boston Logan, the airport has been growing steadily in recent years and is well-positioned to benefit from a resurgence in domestic air travel," it said. "Next year, in fact, PVD will become a hub for the new Breeze Airways, with 44 weekly departures expected by 2027."
