Rhode Island Jobs Down 2,400 From May: Department Of Labor
In the last year, jobs were down 400, according to the Rhode Island Department of Labor.
Rhode Island jobs fell by 2,400 in June , the state Department of Labor reported.
The state’s unemployment rate subsequently decreased to 4.8%, according to the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training.
"Over the year, jobs were down 400 from June 2024, and the unemployment rate was up four-tenths of a percentage point," the department's report said.

The June unemployment rate was 4.8%, down a 10th of a percentage point from the May rate, the report said. In 2024, the rate was 4.4 percent in June.

The national unemployment rate was 4.1% in June, down a 10th of a percentage point from May. The U.S. rate was 4.1% in June 2024.
