Rhode Island Jobs Grew By 500 In July: Department Of Labor
Unemployment remained at the same level, the Rhode Island Department of Labor reported.
Jobs at Rhode Island businesses rose by 500 in July, the state's department of labor reported.
While the number of jobs increased to 500, Rhode Island's unemployment rate remained unchanged at 4.8% according to the department.
"Over the year, jobs were up 2,200 from July 2024, and the unemployment rate was up four-tenths of a percentage point," the department said on its website.

The national unemployment rate was 4.2% in July, the department said, and the U.S. rate was 4.2% in July 2024.
