Rhode Island Ranks High On New List Of Safest States

Check out how the Ocean State stacks up against the rest of the country when it comes to a variety of safety measures.

A new analysis found that Rhode Island is the second-safest state in the country. The study comes from personal finance website WalletHub.

To come up with its list of safest states, WalletHub analyzed all 50 states using 52 "key indicators of safety, grouped into five categories."

These measures include everything from assaults per capita to financial losses from climate disasters per resident and economic factors like unemployment.
