Rhode Island Ties For 2nd Hardest State To Cover Monthly Bills: Survey
Loan provider Advance America surveyed 3,002 families.
Rhode Island tied for the second hardest state to cover monthly bills, according to a survey from loan provider Advance America.
"Money has never felt quite this fragile," Advance America said in a media release.
"Families are grappling with stubbornly high grocery prices, ever-rising utility bills, and the looming fear that even their jobs could be on the chopping block thanks to" artificial intelligence, the release said. "Against that backdrop, Advance America, a leading loan provider, surveyed 3,002 families to find out how many days they need to work to cover household bills."

Rhode Islanders, it turns out, have to work 24 days to pay the bills, Advance America's survey contends.
That puts Rhode Island in a tie with Mississippi, a single day ahead of Michigan and two days behind Alabama.
