RI Man Wins $4 Million In MA Lottery

BARRINGTON, RI — A Barrington man nabbed a $4 million prize from a scratch-off ticket his dad gave him during breakfast Friday.

The lucky ticket — from the $4,000,000 Bonus Bucks game — was sold for $10 at Star Country Store & Deli on Sanford Road in Westport, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery.

Its winner, Steven Richard, said he didn't scratch the ticket until later in the day and couldn’t believe that he had won a grand prize.

He scanned his ticket with the Mass Lottery app to confirm before telling his wife, and then his father, who Richard said often gives him lottery tickets.

Richard will go home with $2.6 million before He said he plans to use his winnings to travel with his wife.
