Toys R Us Returns To Rhode Island In New, Smaller Form
The iconic toy store is now open at two locations in the ocean State thanks to a partnership with a big department store chain.

BOSTON, MA — Geoffrey the Giraffe is back in Rhode Island.
The iconic Toys R Us brand officially relaunched this week with hundreds of small toy shops in Macy's department stores across the U.S. — including two in Rhode Island.
The Toys R Us return comes after a tumultuous few years for the toy chain. The company declared bankruptcy in 2017 and 2018 and then closed all its stores across the world. New York-based WHP Global purchased a controlling stake in the brand in 2021 with plans to bring it back.
