Wanted Cranston Conpirator Captured: Cops
The Cranston woman stole more than $10,000, police said.
CRANSTON, RI — A wanted Cranston woman surrendered to the law Thursday, police said.
Cherie Hart, 40, was wanted on charges of conspiracy, obtaining property worth more than $10,000 by false pretenses or personation, fraudulently obtaining more than $500 of public assistance, fraudulent use of food stamps over $500, access to a computer for fraudulent purposes, and giving a false document to an agent, employee or Public Official, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Hart was processed at state police headquarters and taken to Third Division District Court for her arraignment, according to the release.
