Wanted Cranston Drug Trafficker Captured: Cops

The Cranston man was apprehended by two Rhode Island State Police task forces, police said.

CRANSTON, RI — Two Rhode Island State Police task forces teamed to take down a wanted Cranston drug trafficker, police said.

The state police Violent Fugitive and Homeland Security task forces arrested Manuel Gonzalez, 36, Tuesday, the state police said in a media release.

Gonzalez was wanted on a federal bench warrant charging him with drug trafficking, according to the release.

"Mr. Gonzalez was taken into custody without incident, turned over to members of the United States Marshals Service and later transported to the Providence Federal Courthouse," the release said.
