1 Killed After Car Crashes In Barrington River

Barrington fire officials said a driver struck a utility pole on New Meadow Road then crashed into the Barrington River.

BARRINGTON, RI — A driver was killed in Barrington late Monday night after crashing into the Barrington River, according to fire officials. The crash happened on New Meadow Road at about 11:25 p.m. The vehicle struck a utility pole, flipped over and landed in the river, officials said.
