5 Things to Know About This Weekend
Showers to dampen most of weekend; Nayatt School playground project; Memorial Day parade and exercises; Veterans Park cleanup; firefighters host 5K charity road race.

Here are five things you should know about for this Memorial Day weekend in Barrington.
- Rain showers are expected through Sunday with temperatures only getting up into the mid 50s on Saturday and Sunday; the rain will leave for Memorial Day on Monday with temperatures reaching about 70 degrees.
- Help rebuild the Nayatt School playground today and Saturday from 7 am to 7 pm; breakfast and lunch will be served to all volunteers.
- Volunteers from the Barrington Land Conservation Trust will clean up Veterans Memorial Park on Saturday morning from 10 to noon; theyβre looking for other volunteers as well.
- Barrington Firefighters Local 1774 hosts another 5K Charity Road Race and family fun festival on Sunday morning at the high school starting around 9 am; the 5K is scheduled for 11 am.
- Barringtonβs annual Memorial Day parade and exercises are Monday morning; the parade starts at 9:30 am at the high school and finishes at Town Hall about an hour later, where a remembrance ceremony will take place.
