5 Things to Know About Today

Here are five things you should know about today in Barrington:
- Continued sunny and hot with temperatures approaching 90 degrees and a chance of thundershowers.
- Atria Bay Spring Village, 147 Bay Spring Ave., hosts a 6 pm presentation on “The Once and Future Medicare” by Robin Smith, an insurance advocate for seniors. RSVP to 401-237-4409.
- Marijuana Anonymous, a fellowship of men and women who share recovery from marijuana addiction, meets at 7 pm in the education building of Barrington Congregational Church, 461 County Road.
- The Town Museum operated by the Barrington Preservation Society is open from 11 am to 3 pm; its latest exhibit is titled “KIDS!” – how Barrington children lived, learned, worked and played more than 100 years ago.
- The Knitters Group meets at the Barrington Senior Center at 10 am; its located in the lower level of the library building at 281 County Road.
