5 Things to Know About Today

Here are five things you should know about today in Barrington:

  1. Showers in the morning turn into steady rain in the afternoon and evening with a high temperature near 67 degrees.
  2. The Barrington library hosts with curator Margaret Whitehead and the author of the book, Blithewold: Legacy of an American Family, who will explore the social history of four generations of an American family and the legacy they left in the Blithewold Mansion, Gardens & Arboretum in Bristol.
  3. Play badminton every Thursday night in June at the Barrington Middle School; the cost is $5 per night and no pre-registration is required.
  4. Barrington Books, 184 County Road, hosts a story hour for children every Thursday at 10 am.
  5. The Rumford Dance Theatre presents “A Midsummer Night’s Fantasy” at 6 pm in McCulloch Theater at St. Andrew’s School, 63 Federal Road; $20.
