5 Things to Know About Today

Scattered T-storms; Rotary Club meets; Housing Trustees gather; travel photography workshop starts; summer reading club registration continues.

Here are five things you should know about today in Barrington:

  1. Scattered thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon with a high temperature of 77 degrees.
  2.  The Barrington/Warren Rotary Club meets every Tuesday at 6:30 pm at the Wharf Tavern, 215 Water St., Warren; there is a different speaker each week.
  3. The Barrington Housing Board of Trustees meet at 7 pm in the Barrington library.
  4. The Art of Travel Photography: A Digital Workshop with RISD-trained instructor Sylvio Gario, starts at 6:30 pm tonight and continues next Tuesday, June 18, in the Barrington library; it’s free to anyone with a camera.
  5. Registration continues at 9:30 am for the Readers Theater – “Unearth the Underground “ – and the Jr. Summer Reading Club at the Barrington library.
