5 Things to Know About Today

Overcast and showers; celebrate books; play Bridge; learn circus skills; Sunday hours no more.

Here are five things you should know about today in Barrington:

  1. Rain showers and overcast all day with temperatures near 74 degrees.
  2. Celebrate books and the joy of reading at Barrington library at 7:30 pm with Trinity Rep actors Anne Scurria and Barry Press, who will read from some books by favorite writers. This unique program is free and open to all.
  3. Play Duplicate Bridge at 6:45 pm in the Barrington Senior Center.
  4. Barrington Community Theater offers a Circus Skills Workshop every Monday from 5 to 7 pm at the middle school. You can learn a variety of skills, including Juggling, Hula Hoop Dancing, Poi Spinning, Stilt Walking, Unicycling, Yo-Yo tricks, and many more! $20 at the door.
  5. Yesterday was the final Sunday that the library will be open from 1-5 until September. The weekly summer schedule begins July 1 as follows: Monday-Thursday 9 am-8 pm; Friday & Saturday 9 am-5 pm. Library evening programs are not affected by these changes.
