5 Things to Know About Weekend
Somewhat wet weekend; farmers market with ewaste collection; open mic at library; summer reading club; junior golf opening day.

Here are five things you should know about this weekend, June 28-30, in and around Barrington:
- Possibility of showers and scattered thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday with temperatures around 80 degrees both days.
- The Go Local farmers market continues at Barrington Congregational Church on Saturday from 9 am to noon with a free electronic waste drop-off (anything with a wire and batteries, too) operated by Indie Cycle.
- The Barrington library hosts Project 42 Open Mic on Saturday from 2 to 4 pm; come; you can read poems, stories, sing, dance, perform whatever.
- Saturday is the first day to report on books for the Summer Reading Club at Barrington library; stop by between 9:30 am and 4 pm.
- The Barrington Recreation Department’s new Junior Golf Program holds its Opening Day on Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm at Walker Farm off of County Road on Hundred Acre Cove. Meet the staff and get the swing of the program for kids.
