Barrington Beach Opening Delayed
Rainy and cool weather predicted for Saturday and Sunday is pushing off the first beach day this year to Monday.
Don't get out your blanket and beach chairs for a couple of more days.
The annual Memorial Day weekend opening of Barrington Beach is being put off until Monday.
The opening is being delayed because of the anticipated cool and rainy weather on Saturday and Sunday, said Michelle Geremia, Barrington recreation director.

The weather forecast for Monday is mostly sunny with temperatures getting up to around 70. The beach will open for the first day of 2012 on Monday.
Geremia said the decision to delay the opening was made in collaboration with the Town Manager.
