Barrington Police Looking For Driver Who Crashed Stolen Car

BARRINGTON, RI — Barrington police have asked for the public's help finding a driver they said crashed a stolen vehicle.

Police said the crash happened Thursday on Massasoit Avenue after the driver sped away from officers trying to pull them over in the area of Puritan Avenue and Meadowbrook Road. Officers recovered the stolen vehicle after the crash.

Barrington and Warren police, along with a Providence police K-9 unit, searched the area but did not find the driver.

Barrington police asked nearby residents to check their home security cameras for any suspicious person from 2:45 a.m. onward.
