Flash Flood Warning for Afternoon
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for RI and southern New England.

A Flash Flood Watch continues for Barrington and much of the Southern New England area until tonight, June 29, at 6 p.m.Â
Scattered showers and thunderstorms, some of which may produce heavy rainfall of 1 to 2 inches per hour in isolated areas, is expected after 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.Â
Heavy rain is expected to result in urban and poor drainage flooding as well as some river rise.
If you are in areas prone to flooding, be aware of dangerous conditions that can occur with rapidly rising water. Â
Do not drive through flooded roadways, keep children away from storm drains, and swollen rivers and streams can present hazards to persons using canoes and kayaks.
