Girls' Unbeaten LAX Team Back on Top
Barrington High School's girls' lacrosse team wins the RI Interscholastic League state title to cap an undefeated season.
Barrington High School’s girls’ lacrosse team finished an undefeated season by winning the R.I. Interscholastic League Division I championship on Saturday at Brown University.
“Player of the Game” Mary Kate Coogan scored three goals and assisted on three other scores as Barrington defeated La Salle, 14-10, in the Division I final, according to the Providence Journal. Kelly Dolan also scored three goals for the Eagles.
Beatrice Bramhall, Madeline Soutter, and Annie Sullivan each scored two goals for the Eagles, who were led by first-year coach Kathryn Tajima.

The championship is the Eagles' 10th state title but their first in four years. They lost in the finals the previous two years. The girls have played in the title game for 13 straight years.
