Mary Benedetti, 88, Loved to Cook, Bake

Mary (Tamer) Benedetti, of Whipple Avenue, Barrington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Grace Barker Nursing Center, Warren. She was 88.

She was the wife of Joseph Benedetti for 61 years.  Born in Seekonk, Mass., she was the daughter of the late John and Amelia (Peters) Tamer.

She loved to cook and bake for the pleasure of others. Her love of food and recipes has been passed on to her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she leaves a son, Joseph Benedetti, and his wife Elizabeth; a daughter, Carol Peck, and her husband William, all of Barrington. Lovingly known as “Grandma B,” she is survived by her grandchildren, Thomas Peck, Robert Peck, Casey Peck, Heather DeSisto Parris and Bailor Benedetti. She was the sister of Delia Ridondo of East Providence and the late Joseph Tamer, Tamer J. Tamer, Peter Tamer and Ameria George.
