More Heavy Rain on Deck For Next 2 Days

The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a flood watch for  much of  Southern New England  starting tonight and lasting through Tuesday evening.

Rainfall will become heavy this evening, falling at a rate of 1 inch per hour. Rain will drop off briefly in the morning before increasing intensity in the afternoon and evening.  

An additional 1 to 2.5 inches of rain can be expected on top of the more than three inches the area received from the storm last Friday and Saturday.

The National Weather Service warns that flooding may occur in urban, poor drainage and small stream and river areas during this time.
