Paid internship program now enrolling with Head Start in Newport
East Bay Community Action Program welcomes you to start your career in Early Childhood Education by completing 9-week internship program

East Bay Community Action Program’s (EBCAP) Head Start Program is seeking applicants for a paid, 9-week Early Childhood Education Internship that will prepare individuals for a career in Early Childhood Education. Participants will complete their internship at EBCAP’s Newport location.
EBCAP’s Head Start internship includes in-person/virtual training, classroom observation and instruction, working with children in a classroom setting, one-on-one coaching, and more. Upon completion, candidates will have a portfolio to document their training and classroom hours and will be encouraged to apply for entry-level employment in an EBCAP Head Start, Early Head Start, or Pre-K classroom. “This paid internship program is a unique opportunity for individuals to begin their career in Early Childhood Education. After completing the program, successful candidates can be hired to continue training and gaining experience in our classrooms. With this experience, they will have a training portfolio that supports the application for a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential,” said Linda Laliberte, VP of EBCAP’s Head Start and Early Head Start.
