The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society recognizes the school as the top fundraiser in RI.

Hampden Meadows School students with their watermelons as they prepare to celebrate being the top fundraising school in Rhode Island for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Pennies for Patients campaign. Pupils at the school raised $6,845.23 this year and have raised more than $18,000 since 2009 to help find a cure for blood cancers.  By pooling their change, students in 204 RI schools are expected to raise nearly $310,000 this year to help find a cure for the leading fatal cancer of children ages 1 to 20…leukemia. Pictured with the kids is Lauren Graham, pennies coordinator at Hampden Meadows.
