BARRINGTON, RI —Barrington has declared a snow parking ban starting Monday night at 9 with up to six inches of snow predicted for Eastern New England through Tuesday morning. Barrington's parking ban is scheduled to run until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.

During the parking ban, all on-street parking is prohibited to make room for plows an sanders. Vehicles parked on town roadways are subject to tow at owner's expense.

Schools in Rhode Island were already being canceled for Tuesday as of last Monday afternoon in anticipation of the snow.
