Volunteers Needed to Help People File Taxes
East Bay Community Action Program will provide training for volunteers who want to help low-income tax filers.

East Bay Community Action Program's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is recruiting volunteers in the East Bay area to assist local residents with income tax filing. After successfully passing a background check, volunteers will receive online IRS training. They will then provide free tax help for low- to moderate-income individuals and families who need assistance preparing their tax returns.
“Helping in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is rewarding and serves a vital role in the local community,” said Kim Wetherald, Director of East Bay Community Action Program’s Office of Volunteer Services. For additional information, please call EBCAP’s
Office of Volunteer Services at 401-435-7876, Ext. 1137 or email kwetherald@ebcap.org.
