What's Open, What's Closed Today?
Government offices, schools, library closed, but it's business as usual for many stores and restaurants.
Today is Memorial Day, May 27, 2013, also known as the unofficial start to the summer.
Today, of course, is a federal holiday. But not everybody in Barrington is shutting down. For some businesses, it will be business as usual. And town center will be alive this morning with the sights and sounds of the annual Memorial Day parade and exercises.
So, what is closed today?

- Barrington schools and day care centers
- The Barrington library
- The Senior Center and TAP-IN
- Federal and state government offices
- There will be no mail delivery.
- Five of Barrington's banks: Citizens, Sovereign, BankNewport, Webster and Bank of America.
What is open today?
- Most retail stores, shops and restaurants.
- TD Bank is open from 8 am to 1 pm.
- RIPTA will be operating on a holiday schedule.
- The Bayside YMCA is open from 6 to 10 am.
