Will You Buy During Tax-Free Weekend?
Do you have any spending plans for Saturday and Sunday, when the sales tax rate in Massachusetts will be 0 percent?

Shoppers in Massachusetts will have the chance Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 11-12, to spend to their heart's content without worrying about paying sales tax.
Nearly everything can be purchased tax-free, with the exceptions being restaurant meals, cars, motorboats, tobacco and any item that costs more than $2,500.
Massachusetts was one of 17 states to offer a sales tax holiday in 2011, and, with the exception of 2009, the state has had a tax holiday every summer for the past nine years.Â
