Wednesday, Feb. 20:

Hands-On: Rogers Free Library hosts Animal Experiences with Dave Marchetti this morning at 10:30 am, featuring a live animal show and chances to touch and hold the critters. No registration required.

Nature: Blithewold Mansion, Gardens, and Arboretum continues its February vacation program for kids in grades 1 to 4. Day rate $40 members/$45 nonmembers; half-day $25. Space is limited.

Animals: Roger Williams Park Zoo is open during the winter — and admission is half-price. Adults $7.50, children ages 3 to 12 $4.95, under 3 free.

Art: RISD Museum in Providence offers a "Family See + Sketch" session focused on the work of Mark Rothko today from 2 to 2:45 pm. For ages 6+ and their caregivers. Adults $12, kids 5-18 $3, kids under 5 free.

Puppets: George Hail Library in Warren hosts Sparky's Puppets today at 2 pm. For ages 6 to 10. Registration required.

Dance: Also at George Hail Library today is a Tween Dance Party, scheduled for 5 pm. For ages 11 and up. Please call to register.
